Duly noted vs noted5/7/2023 He was one of 10 acts in the contest won this year by a group of Irish dancers. Haines High School freshman Nate White performed on guitar at the Alaska’s Got Talent competition during the recent Alaska State Fair in Palmer. His camera caught a black bear, a brown bear sow with cubs and a couple tourists on a bear trail there. Tim, a former Fish and Game technician, likes to keep tabs on local wildlife. Guests enjoyed an extended weekend of food, music and laughter with the newlyweds and their dog Scout. Lende Hinderberger, Christine Hansen Loverink, Marnie Rasmussen, and other friends from around Alaska. Guests included the Visscher and Hakala families, multiple family friends from Mosquito Lake, Haines schoolmates Fran Daly, J.J. Teslyn Visscher and Jacob Hakala were married Saturday at Twin Bears Camp near Fairbanks. Lilly’s brother Tim Banaszak, sister Glory Scarano and sister-in-law Ruth Banaszak all have earned a place on the Senator’s Cup. Lilly ran on “Witness the Fitness” a Banaszak family team that included Haines School employees Ryan Pyles and Lynzee Swinton. Lilly Boron’s 15-mile run on leg 5 of the relay earned her Senator’s Cup honors, as she has now run every stage of the 10-leg event. Other team members included Tawny Darling, Maggie O’Brien and Aimee Jacobson. Tom caught a cod en route to Skagway.Ī fast ferry cancellation forced her team to make a seven-hour drive, and a breakdown that required towing their van to Whitehorse, Y.T., added more complications, but Lynette Hart’s four-woman team “Superfly” completed the walking section of last weekend’s Klondike International Road Relay. Tom is a retired building contractor and Susan is a retired teacher. Their three-week trip included accompanying Stacie on a caribou hunt on the Denali Highway, a boat cruise to Skagway and a trip up the Chilkat River. Tom and Susan Evans of Boise, Idaho recently visited daughter Stacie Evans. Caitie has lived in Haines six years and worked at the local court for 18 months. Haines court clerk Caitie Rothbart will be moving to Juneau to serve as clerk of courts for Juneau Superior Court.
